Rice Pilaf

3 cups water - bring to boil
1 TBSP dried Celery
1 TBSP dried Carrots
1 TBSP dried Red and Green Peppers
1 TBSP dried Onion
1 tsp Chicken Boullion
1 cup rice

Toss all ingredients into boiling water, stir occasionally until water is absorbed. Serve hot as side dish, or add cubed chicken for main dish. Makes 3 cups Rice Pilaf.

Dried Vegetables are a fast and cheap way to get meals quickly without having to purchase prepared foods.


Chili Mac

1 box Mac and Cheese Mix
1/2 tsp taco seasoning
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 lb ground beef

Cook beef in skillet, crumble as it cooks. Drain off grease, add seasonings and heat for 2 minutes more. Cook Mac and Cheese according to package directions. Mix seasoned beef into finished Mac and cheese.


Potato Burger Crock

Flexible Ingredients

Place Ground Beef Patties into bottom of crock pot, uncooked. Frozen patties work well for this. Place peeled quartered potatoes on top of patties, cover with mushroom soup, undiluted. Use 8 patties, 4-8 potatoes, and two cans of mushroom soup for a 3 qt crock pot. Cook on low for 4-6 hours, spoon off oil from top of pot, serve hot with vegetables.
